Let me first start off by saying TWO LANE ROADS ARE DEADLY.
I am officially terrified to drive in New Mexico!
We were two miles from the Air Force base when we almost hit a van head on going 80 mph.
Thomas would have definitely been in the newspaper for that one! =[
Thank God Thomas looked up when he did from the back seat [he was playing with Sam], he yelled really loud and alerted my mom which saved our lives!

We were 20 seconds from being killed.
We drove past this refinery early in the morning.
It was beautiful in person, especially with the sunrise behind it.

We made it!
Welcome to NEW MEXICO!
The view was so pretty.
It was freezing out and the front windshield was filthy from dead bugs smacking into us,
so I snapped a quick photo from the drivers side window.
We stopped at this little shop [it was kind of like Charlie Brown's but not as great], and I ACTUALLY found something with my name on it!
It's a magnet on the back.
I am going to put cute bows where the holes are and hang it on our fridge [I love to collect magnets & snow globes when we go on a trip or visit somewhere new].
It's fun!
This is what we saw the entire 14 hour drive.
It was worse than the Antelope Valley!
At least we have Joshua trees.
But it was very pretty, and something different to look at.
Some little town where we bought lottery tickets-
They had strong accents
We were excited to get out of the car.
Especially SAM!
Especially SAM!
We had to get my mom a base pass...I always though people could get in as long as we had our military I.D's.
U.S. Air Force
Our BX & commisary
A road that leads to a dirt field
Field next to the BX-such a SMALL base!
I love it!
We had to make so many pit stops for Sam and this was one of them.
Poor little guy was miserable being strapped down in the carseat.
He only has to make this trip once more!
Though I am going to be terribly homesick, I really like our base.
It's small and simple and I don't have to deal with a large amount of people.
Thomas and I are to ourselves, so the smaller the better.
I registed for the local college so I can finish my last class and I am hoping they have karate available so I can put David back in.
I can't wait to decorate the house and get settled in.
